How contributions work
Supporters open your campaign page and pledge online. Guest supporters can pay by card through Andala checkout. Signed-in supporters can also contribute from their Andala wallet. A processing fee of 3% + ₦100 is typically added for the supporter at checkout; you receive your listed contribution amount.
How campaign funds are handled
Flexible: successful pledge amounts credit the creator’s Andala wallet as they come in.
All-or-nothing: successful pledge amounts are held in Andala’s campaign holding wallet until the goal is met or the campaign ends. This is an Andala product settlement flow—not a claim of bank regulation or licensed escrow status beyond what the product implements.
If a campaign succeeds or fails
Succeeds (all-or-nothing): held contributions are released to the creator according to settlement and any configured milestones.
Fails to meet goal (all-or-nothing): the campaign is closed unsuccessful and paid pledges are refunded under Andala’s refund rules. Wallet-linked supporters can be refunded to wallet. Guest card pledges cannot be auto-refunded to the original card through Andala.
Flexible end: the campaign ends; funds already credited to the creator remain with the creator’s wallet activity.
Payout & settlement notes
Campaign earnings settle into your Andala wallet. Availability of campaign funds for bank payout follows Andala’s campaign payout progress rules in the product (funds unlock as fundraising progress thresholds are reached). Creating or managing campaigns may require the crowdfunding module on your account. Some campaigns may also require review before going live, depending on account verification status.

Do supporters need an Andala account to contribute?
Not for one-time card contributions. Supporters can pledge with Andala checkout using their name and email. Wallet contributions and monthly wallet subscriptions require an Andala account.
What is the difference between all-or-nothing and flexible funding?
All-or-nothing holds contributions until the campaign goal is met. Flexible campaigns credit the creator’s Andala wallet as pledges come in. Choose the model that fits your campaign when you set it up.
What happens if an all-or-nothing campaign does not reach its goal?
When the campaign ends without meeting its goal, Andala settles the campaign as unsuccessful and refunds paid pledges according to the product’s refund rules. Account-linked supporters can receive refunds to their Andala wallet. Guest card pledges cannot be auto-refunded to the original card through Andala.
What happens when a campaign succeeds?
For all-or-nothing campaigns that meet the goal, held contributions are released to the creator according to the campaign’s settlement and milestone settings. Flexible campaigns already credit the creator as pledges succeed.
Can I offer reward tiers?
Yes. You can create reward tiers with minimum contribution amounts and optional claim limits for supporters to choose from.
Can supporters contribute monthly?
Yes, where enabled: signed-in supporters can set up recurring monthly contributions from their Andala wallet (not from guest card checkout).
How much does crowdfunding cost?
Creating a campaign is included with your Andala account when the crowdfunding module is available to you. Supporters typically pay your listed contribution amount plus a processing fee of 3% + ₦100. You receive your listed contribution amount.
